Kenyans are grieving the death of General Kiambati wa Njora.
Kiambati was described as the last surviving member of the 12 generals who led the armed struggle against British colonial rule.
According to reports, he passed away on February 3, 2026 in the morning at his home in Ngorika, Ol Kalou, Nyandarua County at the age of 106.
His death was confirmed by his son Maina Kiambati.
His body was moved from home to a funeral home in Nakuru town.
The burial arrangements are yet to be done.
