The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has apprehended a duo Mombasa in a coordinated operation that led to the recovery of 250 grammes of heroin.
According to DCI, the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) conducted a targeted raid following credible intelligence regarding individuals suspected of involvement in both drug and child trafficking.
“In a coordinated operation led by DCI Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) Mombasa, two traffickers have been arrested, leading to the recovery of 250 grammes of heroin. The targeted raid was initiated following credible intelligence regarding individuals implicated in both drug and child trafficking.”DCI said.
During the operation, DCI recovered three sachets of heroin during the search, prompting the swift arrest of the persons of interest.
The suspects are currently in custody awaiting arraignment.
