The Deputy Governor confirmed on Monday, February 2, 2026, where he assured that he had begun the process of quitting opposition-allied DAP-Kenya and had already registered as a UDA aspirant for the governor’s position.
According to Savila, he will purpose to attend a scheduled UDA aspirants’ meeting in Nairobi on Wednesday.
“The process to officially move from DAP has started. I know ODM and UDA will work together and I want to say I will not align with opposition. I will personally stand with my president,” Savula said.
