At least three people were killed in a fatal road accident on Saturday night, January 31, along the Njoro–Molo Highway.
The crash occurred at Arimi, where a trailer ferrying logs reportedly lost control and overturned. The driver of the trailer and two other individuals died in the incident.
Authorities described the area as a known black spot, with investigations into the cause of the accident underway.

Notably, at least 12 people were killed at the same location last May after a small public service vehicle collided head-on with a lorry.
Residents blamed the frequent accidents on the narrow road, saying it poses a challenge for vehicles carrying wide or heavy loads.
They urged the government to expand the highway to curb the growing number of crashes in the area.
Meanwhile, breakdown services were deployed to clear the scene, with the trailer and its load removed after the logs were cut into pieces to allow traffic to resume.
