Jubilee Names Former Narok North MP Richard Kenta as New Secretary General

The Jubilee Party has appointed former Narok North MP Richard Moitaled Ole Kenta as its new Secretary General, succeeding Jeremiah Kioni.

In a statement on Thursday, January 22, the party said the decision followed a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting chaired by former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Ole Kenta, an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Nairobi, brings both legal expertise and political experience to the role.

First elected to Parliament in 2013 on a TNA ticket, Ole Kenta served two terms before contesting the Narok County gubernatorial seat in the 2022 General Election.

Richard Moitaled Ole Kenta has also held key positions in public institutions, including as Chairman of Kenya Wine Agencies Limited (KWAL) and as a Director at the Geothermal Development Company (GDC).

The Jubilee Party expressed confidence that Ole Kenta’s experience in politics, law, and institutional governance will strengthen the party’s structures and support Fred Matiang’i’s 2027 presidential bid.

Members and supporters have been urged to give him full cooperation in his new role.

Ole Kenta will be deputized by former Education CAS Zack Kinuthia, while Jeremiah Kioni has been promoted to Jubilee Deputy Party Leader.

The move follows the party’s earlier appointment of Matiang’i as Deputy Party Leader.
