More than 20 content creators were arrested in Nairobi on Tuesday, January 21, following multiple public complaints over harassment and indecent conduct.
Police from Pangani Police Station apprehended the suspects after residents raised concerns about their activities in Eastleigh, Pangani, and Muthaiga.
The TikTok creators are accused of deliberately targeting pedestrians particularly women and girls while recording videos for social media.

According to police, the group would sneak up on unsuspecting members of the public, touch them inappropriately, and cause disturbances in a bid to generate online content.
The videos, later shared on social media for views and engagement, triggered widespread public outrage.
The footage shows young men confronting pedestrians on busy streets, engaging in inappropriate physical contact and startling unsuspecting victims.
Authorities said the suspects will be arraigned in court on Wednesday to face charges related to harassment and the unlawful recording of individuals without consent.
In November last year, Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris condemned similar incidents after a viral video showed young men harassing girls in the name of content creation.
She called on the DCI to take action, warning that such conduct would not be tolerated.
Police have since confirmed that investigations into the newly arrested suspects are ongoing and have issued a stern warning to content creators.
