The police are investigating the motive behind the killing of a man who was attacked last night as he returned from watching a football match at Holo Market.
According to the deceased’s wife, her husband failed to return home after the match, prompting her to raise the alarm.
She made efforts to trace him, but her numerous phone calls went unanswered.
According to reports, Mrs Odhiambo visited the police where her husband had gone to watch the match, but he was nowhere to be found.
While returning home, she discovered him lying unconscious in a pool of blood along the road.
Further reports indicate that the police visited the scene and established that the deceased had been attacked by unknown assailants, who inflicted deep cuts on his forehead and the back of his head.
Police have launched a manhunt for the perpetrators as investigations continue.
