An accident involving a lorry and a 14-seater PSV was witnessed on the evening of Monday, January 12, 2026.
According to reports, the incident took place near the GSU Headquarters on the lower section near Alsops, bringing traffic to a near standstill during the peak hours.
Further reports indicate that the motorists heading towards Kahawa West, Githurai 44 and 45, Kahawa Sukari, and Ruiru were the most affected, with traffic stretching the Survey of Kenya area.
The Motorists Association of Kenya (MAK) confirmed the incident, warning that traffic had built up on both sides of the road and urging drivers to exercise caution while using the service lanes.
