Ruth Odinga Hints at Future Revelation of Raila’s Message

The late Raila Odinga’s sister and Kisumu Woman Representative, Ruth Odinga, has said she will, at the appropriate time, disclose what the former Prime Minister shared before his death.

In a statement issued on Monday, December 29, Ruth dismissed claims by individuals alleging they held private discussions with Raila, insisting such assertions are misleading.

She noted that Raila was known for expressing his views openly and publicly, adding that he would not have concealed his position on matters of national importance through private engagements.

Ruth also called on the ODM party to steer clear of distractions and instead focus on implementing the 10-point agenda contained in the NADCO report, which Raila Odinga had agreed upon with President William Ruto before his death.

She alleged that some individuals within ODM are attempting to sell out the party and have allegedly been given timelines to complete the process.

Ruth warned that such actions undermine the party’s legacy, noting that ODM was founded through years of struggle, sacrifice, detentions, and loss of life during the fight for multiparty democracy.

While clarifying that she is not opposed to ODM engaging in talks with the current government ahead of the 2027 general election, the Kisumu Woman Representative questioned the terms and conditions under which such negotiations would take place.
