Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has responded to President William Ruto following remarks about the unconstructed road leading to his home in Tseikuru, Kitui County.
Speaking on Monday, December 16, Kalonzo faulted the president for turning a church service into a political forum, saying he was unfairly singled out instead of focusing on worship.
The former vice president also disputed Ruto’s claim that he had been in politics for 50 years, stating that his political career spans four decades.

He said the assertion was inaccurate and demonstrated a lack of basic arithmetic, adding that his 40 years in leadership amount to extensive experience in public service.
Kalonzo said that while serving as vice president, he initiated the construction of the road passing through Tseikuru in partnership with the Chinese contractor Sinohydro, though he did not clarify whether the project was completed.
He noted that the road forms part of the Kibwezi–Mutomo–Kitui–Mwingi–Tseikuru–Maua corridor, a key regional route linking Ethiopia to the port of Mombasa.
Earlier on Sunday, President William Ruto criticised Kalonzo during a church service in Kiambu, accusing him of opposing the government’s development agenda and questioning his credibility on development due to the unpaved road leading to his home despite his long political career.
