Kisumu Women Representative Ruth Odinga has called on mourners to uphold peace and decorum during the burial of her late sister, Beryl Odinga, scheduled for Saturday, December 6.
Speaking on Friday, December 5, Ruth described Beryl as a private and peaceful individual who valued tranquility and carried herself with dignity and grace.
She urged attendees to honor her sister’s memory by ensuring a calm and respectful farewell that reflects the values Beryl cherished throughout her life.

The legislator urged the public to remain calm until the burial day and expressed gratitude for the support the family has received during this difficult period.
She also acknowledged fellow politicians who have stood with the family, including her colleague Oron and members of the County Assembly, for their presence and support during the mourning period.
Ruth reaffirmed the Odinga family’s commitment to staying strong, united, and resilient throughout this time of grief, while hoping for continued solidarity from the community.
Beryl Achieng Odinga, elder sister of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, as confirmed by her sister Ruth.
Beryl, daughter of the late Hon. Jaramogi Odinga and Mary Ajuma Oginga, was mother to Ami Auma, Chizi, and Taurai, and sister to Senator Oburu Oginga, Raila Odinga, and Akinyi Wenwa.
She was also sister-in-law to Dr. Anne Oburu, Dr. Canon Ida Odinga, Hon. Tabu Osewe, and Judy Oburu.
