Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga has warned members of her administration that she will not tolerate officials who criticize the government they serve.
Speaking on Saturday, November 29, Wanga emphasized that anyone employed in her government must focus on delivering services to the people rather than attacking the administration from within.
She noted that officials who feel dissatisfied or unwilling to continue supporting the government should resign instead of causing internal conflict.

The governor added that those unwilling to work in the administration will be replaced by individuals committed to serving the people of Homa Bay.
Homa Bay Deputy Governor Oyugi Magwanga recently sparked political debate by endorsing independent candidate Philip Aroko for the Kasipul by-election.
Some residents described his move as a long-overdue stance influenced by concerns over the party’s nomination process.
Observers noted that Magwanga’s decision reflected dissatisfaction with how the ODM Party handled its nominations, with claims that the process had been manipulated in favor of a candidate he did not support.
Supporters argue that his endorsement was a principled choice rather than a betrayal of the party, pointing out that the candidate he backs is part of the broad-based government.
Notably, Governor Wanga dismissed claims of a rift with her deputy, Oyugi Magwanga, affirming that their working relationship remains strong and collaborative.
The remarks came after Magwanga revealed that his life was under threat following an attack on one of his vehicles by gunmen.
Wanga expressed concern for her deputy’s safety and called for an investigation into the incident.
