Malava Constituency aspirant Seth Panyako was allegedly attacked by a group of goons on the night of Wednesday, November 26.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, November 27, Panyako reported that the attackers stormed his Down Hill hotel, where he was staying with his family.
The DAP-K candidate termed the incident an attempted assassination, claiming that government operatives working with criminals targeted the hotel, which he intended to use as his personal tallying centre.

He further alleged that the attack was motivated by a recent poll showing him with a commanding lead over his opponent.
DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa has also commented on the alleged attack on Panyako.
In his statement, Wamalwa accused the National Police Service (NPS) and officials from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) of playing a role in facilitating the incident.
He linked the attack to what he described as a broader pattern of ballot stuffing, state-sponsored violence, and coordinated intimidation tactics allegedly orchestrated by the government.
Wamalwa urged opposition supporters to remain steadfast and not be discouraged by the events, encouraging them to turn out in large numbers and vote for their preferred candidates.
