Beryl was also acknowledged as a sister to Senator Oburu Oginga, Raila Odinga, Akinyi Wenwa, among others, and a sister-in-law to Dr Anne Oburu, Dr Canon Ida Odinga, Hon Tabu Osewe, and Judy Oburu.
Ruth further expressed the family’s sorrow while emphasising their gratitude for Beryl’s life and legacy.
Beryl Achieng Odinga passed away just over a month after her brother, Raila Odinga, was laid to rest at their ancestral home in Kang’o Ka Jaramogi, Bondo, Siaya County.
Raila’s funeral, held at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology, included a military procession and full rites at the graveside.
He was buried with his signature hat and fly whisk, in a private ceremony attended by his immediate family, including his wife Ida Odinga and children Rosemary, Raila Jr., and Winnie.
