Sakaja Reassigns Mosiria to Lead Citizen Engagement in Cabinet Shake-Up

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has reshuffled his county cabinet, moving Geoffrey Mosiria from the Environment docket.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, November 18, Mosiria was reassigned to head the Citizen Engagement and Customer Service docket. 

Hibrahim Otieno has been appointed to take over the Environment portfolio.

The cabinet changes also saw Godfrey Akumali transferred from the Business and Hustler Opportunities docket to lead Housing and Urban Renewal. 

Meanwhile, Tony Michael Kimani, previously in charge of Social Services, will now oversee both Social Services and Estate Management.

Lydia Mathia  moves to head the Business and Hustler Opportunities docket, while Sande Oyolo takes over Medical Facilities from the Digital Economy and Start-Ups sector. 

Wilson Gakuya now leads Digital Economy and Start-Ups, and Dr. Machel Wailenda assumes Mobility and Ag. ICT Infrastructure.

Other changes include Clement Rapudo moving to Smart Nairobi, Zipporah Mwangi to City Culture, Arts and Tourism, and Hibrahim Otieno to Health Facilities.

The governor confirmed that the changes take effect immediately. 

This marks his third cabinet reshuffle since taking office in August 2022.
