A court has sentenced a man to death after finding him guilty of robbery with violence charges against the mother of former Member of Parliament Charles Kilonzo.
The court heard that Josephat Mutuku Kasyema violently attacked Agnes Njeri Kilonzo, an 80-year-old woman, on December 8, 2023, at Machakos County.
The court further heard that Kasyema robbed the Agnes of her mobile phone, a Samsung Galaxy J2 valued at Ksh.15,000 and an unknown amount of cash.
The convict had tied the victim with a rope and a was threatening her with a panga then stole and left living the old woman with head injuries leading to loss of her speech.
