Kiambu Senator Karungo Thang’wa and Nyandarua Senator John Methu on Wednesday, October 29, paid a visit to Acting ODM Party Leader Senator Oburu Odinga at his home.
Their visit coincides with Oburu Odinga’s recent elevation to acting ODM Party Leader after the passing of his brother, Raila Odinga.
Taking to his socials, Thang’wa noted that their main purpose was to show support and comfort to the veteran legislator as he transitions into his new responsibilities.

He went on to describe the meeting as an opportunity for mentorship, saying that younger leaders continue to draw inspiration from Oburu’s wealth of experience.
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) appointed the Siaya Senator as the Acting Party Leader following the passing of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
In a statement issued on Thursday, October 16, the party announced that the decision was reached during a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, where members unanimously endorsed Oburu to assume the role in an acting capacity.
Oburu, Raila’s elder brother, has long been an influential figure within the ODM party, frequently serving in an advisory capacity on key matters.
