Royal Media Services Chairman SK Macharia on Thursday, October 23, visited the family of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga at their Bondo home in Siaya County to convey his condolences.
Macharia arrived in the morning at Raila’s Opoda Farm, where he was received by several leaders, among them Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga.
He later visited Raila’s gravesite to pay his final respects before holding a private meeting with Mama Ida Odinga at their residence.

During the visit, Macharia spoke fondly of his long-standing friendship with the Odinga family, noting that their bond dates back to the days of Raila’s father, the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.
Governor Wanga, who welcomed Macharia to Bondo, expressed deep appreciation for his visit and friendship with the Odinga family over the years.
The visit adds to the growing list of leaders and close associates who have travelled to Bondo to pay tribute to the late Raila Odinga.
Earlier in the week, on Monday, October 20, former President Uhuru Kenyatta also visited the Odinga family, just a day after the former Prime Minister was laid to rest.
