Drama unfolded at the Nakuru Law Courts on Thursday, October 23, when four remandees facing robbery with violence charges attempted a daring escape from custody.
The incident occurred shortly after the suspects, who are also linked to the killing of a police officer, were escorted into the courtroom for their hearing.
According to witnesses, the four suddenly broke free from the dock and dashed toward the main exit in what appeared to be a well-coordinated plan.

Security officers within the court compound responded immediately, firing warning shots into the air to halt the escape.
The gunfire caused chaos and panic in the courtroom, prompting magistrates, lawyers, and members of the public to duck for cover as officers moved in to regain control.
The suspects were quickly subdued and returned to custody, bringing the tense situation to an end.
Members of the public within the court premises joined security officers in pursuing the escapees, helping to quickly corner and recapture them.
Court proceedings were temporarily halted as police worked to restore order and reinforce security around the holding areas.
The four suspects were later restrained and escorted back to custody under heavy guard.
