A Catholic nun, the prime suspect in the murder of fellow nun is set to remain in police custody for the next 14 days.
This was after a court ruling on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, in order to allow police to conduct investigations to the brutal murder.
The deceased is said to have been murdered on Saturday, October 11, but her body was discovered at her house the following day.
Before her demise, the nun had been the administrator of Meru Children’s Home in Nkabune, located on the outskirts of Meru town.
Her death was a coincidence with the suspect’s transfer to the facility, where she was set to take over from Sister Karimi
According to preliminary investigations, the sister may have been murdered elsewhere and the body brought to her house.
More details about her death are yet to be established.
