Nairobi County Chief Officer for Environment, Geoffrey Mosiria, has urged city residents to emulate CNN International Correspondent Larry Madowo by recording and reporting motorists who violate traffic laws.
In a video statement responding to Madowo’s viral clip — which showed Kibera MP driving on the wrong side of the road — Mosiria cautioned Kenyans about vehicles, including ambulances and others with sirens, that misuse their privileges to bypass traffic even when there is no emergency.
He further directed traffic police officers to remain vigilant, not only toward ambulances but also other vehicles equipped with sirens, emphasizing that no motorist should be exempt from the law.

On Thursday, October 9, CNN International Correspondent Larry Madowo confronted Kibra Member of Parliament Peter Orero for allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road.
A video shared on social media showed Madowo refusing to give way to the lawmaker’s vehicle and attempting to block him from proceeding against traffic, leading to a brief altercation.
During the exchange, Orero’s driver was heard hurling insults at Madowo and dismissively telling him to take his complaints to President William Ruto.
Defiantly, Madowo responded that he would indeed take the matter to President William Ruto, later posting on social media that he was looking for a flash disk to store the video and deliver it to the Head of State.
In his response video, Nairobi County Chief Officer for Environment Geoffrey Mosiria urged Madowo to instead forward the footage to him, assuring that he would personally ensure it reached the President.
