Auctioneers, accompanied by armed police, have raided the home of Naivasha Member of Parliament Jayne Kihara and seized one of her personal cars alongside goats and sheep.
According to reports, the raid which occured on Thursday, October 9, 2025, was allegedly linked to an election petition pitting the MP and a former Naivasha MP.
Kihara had earlier joined protesting locals and accused President William Ruto’s government of aiding the grabbing of part of Kenya Railways’ land in Naivasha.
According to the MP, the raid was to silence her against supporting the former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
During the raid, Kihara was also bundled into the police car and laters on released on Ksh.50,000 bond.
