Several people were injured on Saturday afternoon after a bus ferrying Gor Mahia Football Club fans got involved in a road accident at Kimende along the Nairobi-Naivasha highway.
According to reports, the crash occurred after the bus, which was apparently speeding, lost control, veered off the highway and overturned beside the road.
According to witnesses, the accident occurred while the group of friends were travelling back to Nairobi from a burial ceremony held in the upcountry.
The area residents quickly came to the scene and began helping those trapped before rushing them to Kijabe Mission Hospital.
