According to the ministry, Israel’s attack on Qatar violates international law, undermines the principles of peace and security, and contravenes the United Nations’ 1970 Declaration on Principles of International Law concerning Friendly Relations and Cooperation among States.
Kenya went on to urge Qatar and Israel to exercise restraint and prioritize dialogue and diplomacy over violence.
On Tuesday, Israel launched a series of strikes targeting Hamas’s leadership in the Qatari capital Doha.
The strikes hit the upscale residential neighborhood of West Bay Lagoon that housed several members of the Hamas political bureau.
Five Hamas members were killed in the strike, including the son of exiled Gaza chief Khalil al-Hayya.
A Qatari security officer was also killed.
