Karura Forest has introduced a new payment system for all visitors covering gate entry, parking, and other service.
In a notice, the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) stated that all payments will now be made through the official e-Citizen platform, using Paybill number 222222.
The service added that the new system will be effective starting Friday, August 29, 2025.
According to KFS, the changes follow a government directive that all public services must be onboarded to the e-Citizen platform and that non-designated payment platforms should be closed.
The agency affirmed the public that all other activities and services at Karura Forest will continue as usual.
