Traffic was witnessed along the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway after an accident occurred between Mutitu Andei and Voi on Sunday night.
The accident occurred at the Kanga Bridge, as reported by the Long Distance Drivers and Conductors Association (LoDDCA).
Images shared online showed two wrecked trucks were pictured at the scene with their fronts completely damaged, alluding to a head-on collision.

The images also showed a long snarl-up on both sides of the highway, frequented by long-distance vehicles, with several groups issuing warnings about the situation.
However, the actual cause of the accident has yet to be made public.
The accidents occurred just hours after another crash at the Kibarani area along the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway left 15 people injured.
While confirming the accident, the Kenya Red Cross revealed that the accident involved a PSV matatu and a cargo container.
