The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested two suspected kidnappers and rescued two victims in Thika, Kiambu County.
In a statement issued on August 20, DCI disclosed that the two suspected kidnappers were arrested following a tip-off from members of the public.

DCI stormed the house and found the two victims visibly shaken, in tears, and nursing signs of physical assault.
Detectives also revealed that the mobile phones of the two victims had been seized by the suspects in a bid to cut them off from the outside world.
After a search of the premises, seven mobile phones, five Safaricom SIM plates and three Airtel SIM plates were recovered.
DCI moreover disclosed that the two women were kidnapped in Nyeri on August 19, 2025, and ferried to Thika using the impounded vehicle.
The suspects are in police custody as detectives finalize investigations before they are arraigned in court.
