A mother and her adult daughter died in a road accident on Sunday along the Nakuru–Kisumu highway.
The crash occurred at the Sobea blackspot and involved a personal car and a transit trailer.
According to reports, the victims were returning from Kisumu after attending a burial of a relative when the accident happened.

The accident occurred just hours after another tragic crash along the Bomet-Kaplong Highway, where two people were killed and one injured following a collision involving a lorry.
According to a statement issued by the Motorists Association of Kenya, the lorry plunged into the Nzoia River on Sunday morning.
Reports indicated that the survivor has been rushed to the Kaplong Hospital for medical attention.
Photos of the accident shared online showed the lorry completely overturned with extensive damage to its front side.
Responding units were deployed to the accident scene to retrieve the lorry from the river.
