Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has dismissed claims of being appointed by President William Ruto for a diplomatic mission in Côte d’Ivoire.
Kalonzo, on Thursday, August 7, 2025 flagged as fake a viral social media post purporting that he had been appointed to preside over a peace dialogue in the West African country ahead of its elections.
The fake post alleged that the Azimio principal was part of a delegation chosen to represent the African Union during Côte d’Ivoire’s polls.
In response to the post, Kalonzo termed it as absolute fake news, claiming that it was a scheme by his political opponents to tarnish his reputation.
“Absolutely fake! I will always stand with the people of Kenya. I will not dialogue with those who abduct young Kenyans,” Kalonzo wrote.
