Former President Uhuru Kenyatta on August 5, chaired a Jubilee Party National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting at the party’s headquarters in Nairobi.
In a statement released after the meeting, the party stated that the meeting marked the first NEC session to be convened following the conclusion of a series of court battles that had disrupted the party’s leadership structure.
During the meeting, the NEC deliberated on several pressing matters affecting the party, with a key focus on rejuvenating Jubilee’s presence and role in the country’s political landscape.

The party was able to discuss the three core areas that formed the basis of the discussions, including a comprehensive review of party affairs and an assessment of the progress made on ongoing programs.
The party moreover discussed strategic plans for reinvigorating the party’s structures and operations across the country.
The meeting comes after Milimani High Court upheld resolutions from the Jubilee Party’s May 2023 National Delegates Convention, effectively nullifying a previous ruling and reinstating Uhuru as party leader.
That decision also validated leadership changes made during the convention, including confirming Jeremiah Kioni as Secretary‑General and Saitoti Torome as National Chairperson.
