Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi on Saturday, August 2, attended the traditional dowry ceremony of Immigration and Citizen Services PS Belio Kipsang’s son Brian Belio and businessman David Langat’s daughter Nicole Langat.
The ceremony was also attended by prominent figures from Rift Valley, including Governor Jonathan Bii, Governor Wisley Rotich, PS Julius Bitok, KAA Chairperson Caleb Kositany, Deputy Inspector General of Police David Lagat, Jackson Mandago, Tiaty MP William Kamket, and PS Chris Kiptoo.
Moreover, President Ruto’s mother, Mama Sarah Cheruiyot also attended the traditional ceremony.

Taking to the social media after the event, MP Sudi explained that the dowry presentation event was held in accordance with the ‘Tumdoab Kanyiook’ tradition that symbolizes respect and gratitude.
The lawmaker also congratulated the couple and wished them a lifetime of love and happiness in their new journey together.
The event comes weeks after Brian Belio and Nicole Langat held a pre-wedding ceremony in Karen, Nairobi.
The event was attended by President Ruto and First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto, among other prominent politicians and government officials.
