MP Keynan Seeks IG Intervention over missing Wajir Huruma Centre Boss

MP Adan Keynan has raised concerns over missing Wajir Huruma Centre manager.

In a letter addressed to the Inspector General (IG) Douglas Kanja, Keynan disclosed that the manager went missing under unknown circumstances on July 8.

“I am writing to express my deep concern and to bring your immediate attention, the unresolved and increasingly alarming disappearance of Mr. Hussein Abdirahman Mohammed who until his disappearance served as the Huruma Centre Manager- Wajir. Mr. Hussein was last seen on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, within Wajir town after which he vanished under unclear circumstances”, the MP stated.

“Despite the filing of a formal missing person’s report and continued efforts by law enforcement agencies, family, friends, and members of the local community, there have been no credible leads, arrests, or substantive updates provided regarding his whereabouts.” he added.

Keynan also issued 13 demands to the office IG including comprehensive report towards the investigations.

He further highlighted why institutions like the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA), the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR), and the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) have not shown much interest in the case, despite the victim being a public servant.
