The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has sent the teacher of Alliance Girls High School accused of sexual misconduct on a 30-day compulsory leave.
The decision was made on Tuesday, July 15, as the investigation intensifies.
According to TSC, the leave is to allow for an independent investigation with no interference.
The National School also confirmed that it is cooperating fully with the authorities and prioritising the safety and well-being of learners.

The commission disclosed that it will inform the teacher of the outcome once investigations are complete.
During the compulsory leave, the teacher will receive his full salary and allowances and will be informed of the outcome once the investigations are complete.
This comes after former students and staff accused the teacher of using his role as Christian Union patron and mentor to manipulate and exploit vulnerable girls.
The alumni had demanded immediate action from the TSC to root out sexual predators within the school.
