Court has ordered former nominated Senator Gloria Orwoba to pay Senate Clerk Jeremiah Nyegenye Ksh10.5 million in damages after being found guilty of defaming him.
While delivering the judgement, Magistrate Ruguru Ngotho found Orwoba guilty of sharing malicious posts on her WhatsApp stories, Facebook page and X, accusing the Senate Clerk of sexual harassment.
According to the court, Orwoba’s posts were not protected by parliamentary privilege and were made with malicious intent to damage Nyegenye’s reputation.
