Loreto High School, Limuru alumni have raised concerns over sexual abuse.
In a notice dated Friday, July 11, the Alumni Association raised alarm over allegations of sexual abuse by certain teachers at the school.
Commenting on the matter, the school administration disclosed that it had already begun investigating the cases, including summoning the staff member in question over the accusations.
They also agreed that the said staff should be subjected to the Teacher’s Service Commission’s (TSC) disciplinary procedures to ensure justice for all the victims.
“In this regard, all those who have experienced inappropriate conduct from the said staff are requested to provide this information to deal with the offenders appropriately”, the Alumni Association stated.
The association recommended mental health support for those affected.
The report further called for enhanced coordination between the Board of Management and the Parents’ Association to ensure all perpetrators are brought to book.
