A teacher at Mikindani Primary School in Jomvu has died after a tragic road accident that occurred on July 3 evening in Mombasa.
The teacher, who was accompanying students, died in the accident at the Maasai area along the Taita Taveta-Mombasa highway.
Moreover, two students were left with severe injuries while 10 others suffered minor injuries.

They were on their way from Kenyatta High School where they had attended a regional music and drama festival.
While confirming the accident, Jomvu Member of Parliament Badi Twalib noted that the students had just represented their school in the cultural event when the accident occurred.
The MP met with the affected parents and families and expressed deep sorrow over the teacher’s death.
The lawmaker vowed to offer continued support, collaborate with the school, and offer psychological support to those affected.
Notably, Mikindani Ward MCA Jactone Madialo also met with the parents and affected families on July 4 night and confirmed the accident, while sending his condolences to the teacher’s family.
