A couple has been apprehended i Rongo after abandoning their one-month-old baby near Changiwadu Trading Centre in Rongo, Migori County.
Reports indicate that the woman who had separated from her husband several months ago over marital issues arrived at the scene and abandoned the baby there before disappearing.
According to village elder Goege Oloo, the abandoned baby was rescued by residents who found him near the house.
The incident led to the arrest of the couple who were taken into custody in Chamgiwadu.
The duo might face charges of child abandonment.
