The court has barred the police from arresting Ndiangui Kinyagia following his appearance in court on Thursday, July 3.
According to justice Chacha Mwita, the blogger could be taken to the DCI to record a statement if need be.
However, he has to be accompanied by his lawyer. Police cannot detain him after being questioned.

“In the meantime, the police will not arrest Ndiangui Kinyagia since he is now a petitioner in this matter and may be required to testify. He should be presented by his advocate and not arrested or detained until further orders of this court.”
Moreover, the judge also stated that the blogger be allowed time to consult with his lawyers and have his family take him for a medical checkup.
The blogger has been missing for days and he was being pursued by the authorities for allegedly drafting a timetable for the June 25th protests.
Initially, it was believed that he was in the custody of the police but DCI boss Amin Mohamed denied the reports.
On Thursday, he emerged with his lawyers detailing that he was hiding in an undisclosed location fearing for his life.
