Wanjiku Thig, the National Youth Leader and member of the National Executive Committee of the Democracy for the Citizen Party (DCP), has been arrested.
The report indicates that she is being held at the Ruiru Police Station, which is a statement according to Kirinyaga Women Rep Njeri Maina.
“Wanjiku Thiga is being held at Ruiru police station; the officer at the station claims not to know what they’re holding her for”, Njeri Maina disclosed.
According to reports, Thiga was arrested on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the Kamakis area in Ruiru, with the news of her arrest spreading on the X social media platform.
