The Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) have arrested three suspects for inciting violence, massive theft and destruction of properties during the June 25 protests anniversary.
The suspects were nabbed in a Mombasa-bound bus at Konza City following investigations and triggered testimonies from concerned citizens.
The suspects identified as John Mulingwa, Francis Mutunge Mwangi and Mark Amiani are reported to have planned to hole up at a coastal hideout to evade police.
The three accused saw businesses looted and people injured.
They were taken into custody, awaiting arraignment in court on Monday, June 30.
The trio might face several charges such as malicious damage to property, arson, stealing and incitement to violence and disobedience.
