President William Ruto has officially appointed three new members to the National Police Service Commission.
The three identified as Peris Muthoni Kimani, Benjamin Juma Imai and Prof Collette A.Suda were appointed as commissioners under Article 246(2)(a) of the Constitution and the National Police Service Commission Act.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 246(2)(a) of the constitution as read with section 6(8) of the National Police Service Commission Act, 2011,1, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenyan and Commander-in-chief of the Defence Forces appoint Collete A. Suda (Prof) to be a member of the National Police Service Commission (NPSC)”, the statement read.
The trio were among the 29 candidates shortlisted for a role as a member of the NPSC.
The appointment takes effect from June 27, 2025.
