The family of the hawker who was shot along Moi Avenue are now appealing for justice.
His father, Jonah Kairuki Nyamburo has has demanded to know the offence his son committed that led to him being shot.
Speaking to the press on Wednesday, June 18, Jonah confirmed that his son was alive but still in a critical condition at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).
According to Jonah, he saw the video of his son being shot on his phone at around 8 pm, when he was called by those close to him, telling him that his son had been shot.
“I slept at (KNH), and in the morning, I saw him at the ICU. At least now I have hope”, he said.
He further urged police officers to be responsible for their actions.
“I would urge police officers to be responsible because they also have children. The one they shot is also somebody’s son. Tough action should be taken against that police officer”, he added.
