A Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer surrendered to the authorities and was detained for the passing away of his lover.
The soldier had reportedly visited his girlfriend in a rented apartment in Kitengela over the weekend when tragedy struck.
According to a report, the 24-year-old woman developed breathing difficulties during the encounter and shortly afterwards lost consciousness.

The military officer sought help from a neighbour to drive them to a health centre but unfortunately, the lady was said to have succumbed.
It was said that she had passed on at the lodging long before she was brought into the hospital.
Preliminary investigations indicated there were no visible injuries on the body, but there was blood in her genitals.
The two men, the soldier and the driver were advised to report the matter to the police but the officer excused himself, purporting to seek help, but jumped over the gate of the hospital and ran.
When he got back to his camp, the soldier surrendered to the military police, claiming that he had run because he was afraid of the ramifications of his lover succumbing.
The military police then detained the soldier in a guard room before escorting him to the Kitengela DCI on Saturday afternoon, where he is currently being held.
The incident was confirmed by Isinya Sub-County Police boss Patrick Manyasi, stating that the authorities are awaiting the autopsy report before taking further steps.
