Truck Ferrying Cars Overturns Along Nairobi-Mombasa Highway

A truck ferrying cars on Sunday evening overturned at Tsavo along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway, leaving the cars sprawled across the highway.

Videos and photos shared online showed the truck blocking the entire highway, forcing other road users to seek alternative ways to traverse the scene.

Other drivers resorted to squeezing through the edge of the road, and traffic started building due to the disruption.

Elsewhere another accident occurred on Sunday evening where a bus carrying teachers from Bomet County to Nakuru for a regional meeting was involved in an accident along the Kericho-Nakuru stretch.

The teachers were travelling in the Mugango Boys High School bus when an oil tanker rammed into it, leading to several injuries.

The tanker is said to have hit the bus from behind, leading to seven injuries among the 21 who were travelling in the bus.

Those injured were treated and discharged from the Londiani hospital, while 10 teachers were only left with minor injuries.
