Several people have been confirmed dead, others injured following a road accident at the Kamandura Junction in Kiambu County along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.
The accident occurred on Friday morning after a 14-seater matatu lost control and overturned, killing several people on the spot.
Those who were near the scene of the accident rushed and helped in retrieving the victims from the wreckage before rushing them to Hospital.

Moreover, the accident resulted in a huge traffic jam along the busy road, forcing motorists to seek alternative routes.
Videos and images shared online showed the matatu extensively damaged with a broken windscreen, mangled seats and deflated tyres, depicting the extent of the crash.
The crash comes just hours after three other people died following a tragic road accident at the Man Eater area of Tsavo West in Taita Taveta County, along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway.
The accident occurred on Thursday morning, involving a 14-seater matatu and a truck heading in opposite directions.
Witnesses claimed that the road crash took place after the matatu, which was full of passengers, lost control and rammed into an oncoming truck heading to Mombasa.
