Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba has claimed that her life is in danger.
Speaking to the media on Monday, April 7, the MP claimed that the state had withdrawn the bodyguard that was assigned to her.
She moreover expressed fears over the safety of her workers at the constituency office owing to threats that they had faced from other politicians.

“This government does not respect women. If they did, they would have assigned me 10 bodyguards. I had one bodyguard who was withdrawn, just as they did with former DP Rigathi Gachagua. My life is in danger, and the lives of those who work for me are in danger,” she claimed.
The lawmaker went on to call on the government to protect her, alleging that there were also suspicious activities by some vehicles outside her home on Friday night.
Wamuchomba added that the vehicles were driven away after locals started taking photos.
She further indicated that she had reported the matter to the police, demanding for more bodyguards to be assigned to her.
