A 33-year-old Kenyan woman was arrested on February 21 by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers.
She was reported to have used her sister’s passport and visa to enter America.
The woman’s case began after she was apprehended at Washington Dulles International Airport upon arriving from Accra, Ghana.
The woman was interrogated at the airport but couldn’t respond to simple questions about her previous travel history associated with the visa and passport, where she admitted that she was using her sister’s documents.

When further investigations were conducted, the authorities found other belongings that belonged to the accused’s sister.
The belongings included a birth certificate, credit cards and tax forms.
The suspect is said to have attempted to acquire a non-immigrant visa which is typically granted to visitors entering US temporarily for business or tourism.
She was later arraigned in court and prosecuted at a court located in the Eastern District of Virginia.
