Renown lawyer Peter Kagwi was found dead in his office.
Eric Kivuva, a chair of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) Nairobi, announced his death, stating that he was found dead in his office in Nairobi on Tuesday, April 2, 2025, in the evening.
While mourning the death of Kagwi, Kivuva described him as a professional who was passionate about his job.
“We are profoundly saddened to learn of the passing of Peter Kagwi of Kagwi Githuku and Company Advocates. Wakili Kagwi was found dead in his office yesterday. He was a committed professional, particularly known for his advocacy of meditation as an alternative method of resolving disputes” part of the notice read.
“Kagwi has been mourned as an extraordinary individual who consistently exuded joy in his interactions. We extend our sincere condolences to his family, colleagues and all who had the honor of working alongside him,” the notice continued.
So far, LSK has not yet revealed the cause of his death but ensured that investigations are underway to ensure the cause of death is established.
Before his death, Kagwi was a law firm proprietor at Kagwi Githuku and Company Advocates since September 2023.
