The police have launched an investigation after a GSU died and was buried church.
According to reports, the police officer who was in the company of his wife died on 27th March 2025 and was buried within the church compound on 28th March 2025 in Rongo, Sub County.
The wife of the deceased obtained a burial permit from the provincial administration that allowed her to burry her husband as per the doctrine of the church.
Reports indicate that the GSU officer was receiving radicalized teaching from the same church and that the police had previously visited the church after the deceased’s father had reported the matter to the police.
Rongo Sub County Commissioner Mr. George Matundura claimed he is aware of the incident and is currently under investigation.
He added that they would soon take necessary legal action regarding the incident.
Regarding the matter, the public now wants the church investigated by the government.
They suspect the church is promoting teachings that indoctrinate people’s beliefs.
