Tanzania had suffered the same fate when they hosted Morocco at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar-es-Salaam and looked forward to redeeming themselves.
The match took place on Tuesday evening at the Honor Stadium in Oujda, showcasing the tactical prowess and skill of the Lions of the Atlas.
Nayef Aguerd opened the scoring in the 51st minute, followed swiftly by Brahim Diaz, who converted a penalty just seven minutes later.
